When Beowulf's attack becomes fully charged, the attacking body part will start to shake and Dante's voice will change in a rough outcry when the attack is performed. It boosts the wielder's attack and speed for close combat, and is able to charge its attacks for harder hits. Beowulf generally has a narrow area of effect making it a less than ideal for crowd control. Beowulf: A set of flash gauntlets and greaves that focuses on close-range, but powerful hits.Rather than physically attack outright, Nevan's main feature is to summon multiple projectiles, and to boast attacks with wide fields of effect, making it a mix between a projectile and a melee weapon. Nevan: A guitar-like Devil Arm that plays completely different than any other Devil Arm in Dante's arsenal as it is quite complex and methodical to use in battle, requiring a plethora of skill and understanding of its mechanics to use properly.He has a long range technique where he throws wind and fire blades at the player. While in control of both blades, Rudra will also use the Twister-Crawler attack. Rudra uses a Twister-like ability to create a tornado around himself. He will also swing the blades, sending fire around his general area. While in control of both blades, Agni will use a wind-only Twister-like ability while simultaneously launching a Crawler attack. Agni has a Crawler-like ability that will send flames along the ground in a straight line. While separate, they will both imbue their blades with their respective elements to augment their attacks. They generally fight together as a team and use powerful, single strike attacks. Agni & Rudra: A pair of living, twin demon swords that have the power of fire and wind, respectively.Its basic moveset has no launchers, so Cerberus most of the time relies on other weapons for ground-to-air attacks and set-ups. It has great defensive properties, as its swings reach nearly 360 degrees around Dante. However, the tradeoff for this speed its per-hit damage is low. Cerebus: An icy, triple nunchaku that has the fastest attack speed of all of Dante's Devil Arms.This game introduces a lot of brand new weapons known as "Devil Arms" and Fire Arms.Good voice acting that's a nice improvement over the first two.Dante is back to like he was in the first game but more cocky and more of a jokester this time.The plot is actually pretty interesting as it revolves around Dante and his brother Vergil before he becomes Nelo Angelo in Devil May Cry.This entry goes back to what made the original so great and does more with it, and its success saved the franchise.
